Instruction begins with the very basic Training with Trust techniques progressing into advanced skills. The program will cover the following: conditioning/response training, the use of the round pen, starting a colt, training of a green horse, handling real problems that occur among horses, lateral movement, lead changes, components to the stop, communication through the reins, and horse psychology. Additional topics that will be addressed include proper tack, veterinary medicine, and farrier science. Instruction will also cover a broad range of disciplines such as reining, dressage, hunter/jumper, and driving. The student will be tested, judged, and asked to demonstrate all these techniques throughout the program.
