Must complete steps 1 & 2 in phase I to be eligible for phase II of the certification program
Kenny Harlow's certification program is a nine-week training program spread out over one-year. Tuition is $1,050.00 per week for nine weeks. The tuition can either be paid all in full at the time of registration or spread out over the year, paid prior to each training week. The Student will be responsible for the tuition costs of the first three weeks in the program upon arriving in Virginia. The last two weeks must be paid in advance as a deposit and all the paper work must be completed upon registration. In addition, the clinics you ride in to be eligible for the certification program, will be paid clinics at $750.00 per horse & rider per clinic or four clinics at a cost of $3,000.00.
Phase I
- Complete Kenny Harlow's Three Week Apprenticeship Program (cost $2,750).
OR
- You must ride in four (4) three day riding clinics @ $750.00 per clinic.
Phase II
- You must supply 2 unbroke horses. The 2 unbroke horses must go through the entire 9 -week program with you. The cost of the nine -week program is $1,050.00 per week or $9,450.00. A $2,100.00 non-refundable deposit is required at the start of the nine- week program. In addition you must be paid in full prior to the last two weeks of the nine -week program. * Note- This tuition cost does not include room and board for you nor does it include travel expenses etc. Stall fee is included in tuition when training at the ranch, however, participants are responsible for all their own stable chores, feed, hay, and bedding.
- The first three weeks of the yearlong program begin back to back in July at the Virginia Ranch. You will receive weekends off during the initial 21 days. It is here that you will start your two unbroke horses, learn round penning, and train them in the mountains with Kenny.
- You will go home with your started horses for approximately 2 months with lesson plans & homework assignments to complete.
- Back to Virginia for five days of testing and instruction. Home again with lesson plans and homework. The schedule will continue in this manner during the course of one year.
- The last two weeks of the certification program are again back to back in June/July, where you will finish off the training.
- You must pass a final test the last week of instruction before you receive your certification.
