Kenny Harlow Training Programs
Are you looking for a way to get FASTER, more PREDICTABLE results from your horse?
In 2008, Kenny retired his faithful equine friend, Blue and introduced Dozer. While retraining and introducing a new horse, Kenny realized it was a good time to assess his training effectiveness. Kenny's revamped, revitalized and renewed clinical programs are now customized for both new and attendees and former students. To review some of the new programs he is offering please click here for our schedule.
Congratulations to our most recent Apprenticeship students: Justine Krieder from PA, Diane Laurie from, VA and Toni Sleeme from VA.

Apprenticeship Program
Kenny’s three-week Apprenticeship Program is a comprehensive, hands-on training program that takes students “beyond the clinic experience.” This program provides students with an opportunity to experience a small segment of the intensive year-long Certification Program offered at Cedar Run Ranch. Kenny teaches universal techniques that help the students build a lasting bond with horses. Successful graduates begin the program with unbroke, green, or problem horses and use basic Training with TrustTM techniques of conditioned response training and proper use of the round pen. Students address basic ground manners such as standing quietly for the farrier, safe leading, and ground tying. Horses and students work together to gain many miles of experience and confidence while training in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia. Throughout the program, students solve real problems that arise and learn to handle the unique challenges that different horses offer. The apprentices conclude the program in the indoor arena with exercises that encourage softness and responsiveness in their mounts.

Kenny Harlow’s Training with TrustTM is the culmination of a lifetime of learning with horses. He is a graduate of John Lyons’ very first Certification Program and “is one of the most successful trainers out of the program.” Kenny continues to study with Olympic riders and top trainers of all disciplines including dressage, hunter/jumper, eventing, reining, roping and western pleasure. Kenny has trained in Great Britain under the sponsorship of AQHA UK. Kenny is sponsored in part by Southern States and Triple Crown Feed, Orthoflex Saddleworks, Inc., US Rider, Cook Forest Scenic Trailride, Humane Mats distributed by Ray E. Smith and Ramm Fence.
